Highlights of Caribbean Fashion Week 2017

I must say that this year’s Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) 2017 definitely showcased the best designers from our small region. It was so inspiring to view collections from successful local designers, and of course the models who worked the runway and made a name for themselves. The fashion industry in Jamaica is really small and It is hard to stay in the industry because of the domestic economy; you really have to create the market yourself. However, it was healing to see pieces from Jamaican designers: Nigel Ramsey, Coochi Anna’s and Drenna Luna, being showcased on the runway. These designers, especially, inspired me to be brave and to work for what I want. Small industry or not we still ‘Tallawah’!
